Description
This Leland Blue heart necklace is about 3/4 inch in diameter. It is a lovely shade of dark medium blue with lovely white inclusions. It has a a Sterling silver bail that is glued to the back. The chain is also Sterling silver. Leland Blue is not a natural stone but rather a by product of smelting iron ore in the late 1800s. Foundries were located in Frankfort, Elk Rapids & Leland as well as numerous locations in the upper peninsula. It is quite common for Leland blue to have small fractures or tiny holes. This occurs during the smelting process. Please contact me if you would prefer a different shade of blue as I have several shades available. Leland Blue Heart Necklace
