Antique Palais Royal Inkwell, Pen Holder, Jewelry Holder fashioned into an Ornate Bronze Stand. Beautiful, artistic stand in Brass/Bronze which holds 2 mother of pearl shell trinket catch-alls & an ink well. The stand holder is made of intertwined trees coming from the side to meet at the top with forks to hold an ink pen. Probably one of a kind. Probably also made in Méru, France, the center of fabrication for small, delicate objects mainly fashioned from mother of pearl. The ink well is chipped on rim & one side, but fits nicely in the stand. With the little lid on, no damage shows.
