This is a terrific Vintage Landscape by noted California Artist Frances James. I love it's loose painterly style giving the piece a certain amount of "Abstraction". This Original Fine Art Painting is signed in the lower left hand corner, Frances James & is Framed in a vintage "aged / weathered wooden period frame. Painting is in overall excellent vintage condition, with Definite signs of age & wear, including some wear on the painting along the stretchers edge. Here is a bit of info I found online: Born in Los Angeles, CA on May 31, 1912. James spent most of her life in the Los Angeles area as a resident of Van Nuys. She studied at the Los Angeles Art Institute under Christian von Schneidau & Nicholi Fechin. She died in Grants Pass, OR on July 24, 1999.
