PA Dutch Hex Sign, 24" Double Distelfink distressed barn sign, two birds, indoor/outdoor carved folk art, home garden decor, folklore art Each piece is hand-painted by David, one at a time, not on a production line, so there will be differences between each piece. It is impossible to match each piece exactly to the pictures. PA Dutch Hex signs, 24" diameter x 3/4" thick engraved on a CNC machine & hand-painted. Material is MDF (compressed wood), with exterior grade finish that can be used indoors or outdoors "These signs are not the traditional, 1 dimensional hex sign, but our version of a weathered barn star "ghost". Barn stars naturally weather in the elements by a process known as "differential solar weathering". This produces an interaction between the suns rays & the surface of the wood, which in turn, produces a pronounced relief over the course of many years. This relief is called a "ghost", which has the appearance of being carved. Our signs are purposefully carved with fine detailed hand painting for you to enjoy today & for years to come.
