Original from 1956 - A Unique offering. Rare, still in the original packaging. Original, from 1956. Vintage Daily Dime Popeye Register Tin Bank - King Features Syndicate. See pictures for condition. This tin bank comes in the Original Packaging unopened. The staples holding the tag/header onto the plastic have rusted over time. The tag shows discoloration, wrinkling & wear due to age. The condition of the bank is very good. There is minor wear along some of the edges; the rest of the bank has bright colors & a good gloss. Description: This old tin savings bank features the cartoon sailor Popeye. Popeye is written across the top & to the right of Popeye it reads: Daily Dime Bank. Little windows indicate the day of the week & the amount that has been saved. The slot for inserting dimes is on the top edge where it reads: Insert Dime Here. The side panels have Popeye's friends, Olive Oyl, Swee' Pea, & Wimpy. This bank takes no key. A door on the back reads: Press Down at $5.00. Once $5.00 has been deposited in the bank, the door can be pressed down so the dimes can be emptied out. The tin bank measures about 2 ⅝" square (the corners squared off) & ⅝" thick.
