This is a traditional Dominican five-decade rosary. It will last a lifetime. All of my rosaries - should the construction break during normal prayer - may be returned at any time for free repairs. Beads: Black onyx - 6mm for the Aves & 8mm capped for the Pater beads. Crucifix: A detailed 2" Saint Michael Defender of The Faith Orthodox crucifix. Made in Italy. Front: The Holy Face is above Christ crucified. Above Jesus' shoulders are two circles representing the sun & the moon, as Christ is the beginning & the end. The instruments of the passion are on either side of the Corpus. Golgotha is at the bottom with the skull of Adam (our forefather) at the bottom. Back: At the top Greek letters "MP OV" for the Theotokos or Mother of God. Representation of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God. Saint Michael the Great Archangel, Defender of the Faith, is the center panel. Center: 3/4" Sacred Heart of Jesus with Our Lady of Sorrows on the back. Made in Italy. Length: 23.5" (This measurement represents the length from the bottom of the crucifix to the middle of the third decade.) Construction: Chain link with wire-wrapped connection points for added durability. German silver wire.
