This picture collage salutes that great Chicago White Sox that beat the Yankees to win the 1959 Pennant. Though they lost to the Dodgers, this was a great team. The team was led by hall of Famer Early Wynn & Luis Aparcico as well as MVP Winner Nellie Fox & Billy Pierce. The collage features a copies of baseball cards from the era that depict 18 of the players. Please note that we have used the 1960 Topps cards instead of the 1959 Topps cards. This is because a key player for the White Sox was Ted Kluszewki who was obtained in a trade during the season. The 1959 Topps card showed him in a Pirates uniform. If you prefer the 1959 cards instead of the 1960 cards this can be done. Just let us know. Card images are 1 1/4" x 1 3/4" or about one third the size of a real card. Highlighting the collage is a picture of Comiskey Park. This is a great collectible for any baseball fan. Please note that we can make up a similar collage for any team between 1950-1990. E-mail us for details. The size of this matted picture is 11" x 14" & will fit any 11" x 14" inch frame. (a standard size). I make all these collages by hand. As a history buff as well as a lover of old movies & all types of sports, the key to each picture is the research behind it. Deciding what movies should go with a particular star or what game or series would best reflect a certain sports hero is crucial to a successful collage.
