The USS Trathen DD-530 was a WWII commissioned Flecther Class Destroyer that earned 8 battle Stars in WWII & Korea & was decommissioned in 1965 & went to the breakers in 1972. The former owner of the cap was a crewman. The hat was likely made in the 1980's & even better made in the USA. It's used & a tad dusty but not bad for being near 40 years old.
