These old latch plates would have been used on both sides of a single door of a house in the early 1900s. They are in good condition, with some superficial rust, tarnish, wear, & light scratches from the skeleton keys that would have been used to open the doors. One was painted & the other was not. They are from the Arts & Crafts period, from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, & also show elements of the Aesthetic Movement. This is a closely matched pair of latch plates which measure 5 1/4" long by 1 7/16" wide by about 5/16" thick. The inside diameter of the large round hole is 7/16". in good condition. You get both pieces as pictured for $35 with FREE shipping within the United States. Sorry I will not split them up. I'll gladly combine shipping with other items whenever possible.
