The MOUNTAINS Collection, & this piece, is an exploration of brush + line, using the metaphorical form of MOUNTAIN to see how the marks of paintbrush & pen or pencil, with their contrasting textures, can work together to model the tactile surfaces of land. Pure black & white ink line & paint bring out the contrast of the natural & cut facets of this mountain. I think it mimics the visual texture of marble at a glance - do you think?
