Welcome to my Junkgle. It gets better here every day! Good spot! You found this nice old trilby/fedora taking a break in the Junkgle. It was made by the United Cap Hatters & Millinery Workers Union for Dobbs of Fifth Avenue It is size 7 & 1/4. It is about 11.5" front back x 10" across when the brim is flattened. It is made with horizontally positioned Herringbone Tweed. The color is called brown, it is a mix a muted & grayish browns. The fabric is in great shape with no tears or notable wear. It has some shallow wrinkling in the front & a couple 'dents' on the back. It is all rather rigid & wants to hold its current shape, though the brim can be shaped. It has a couple small stains on the interior & light grunge from being worn. The feathers are a little beat up & bent,( perhaps it is missing a 'cover feather') The band around the hat has some curling of the edges on the back. It may have acquired a little dust & general dinge from the years, but has no notable stains or discolorations on the outside. Thanks for taking a stroll through JustinsJunkgle! This item, like most of the items i have for sale, besides my original creations, came to me as rescues. I do not know their history, but i try to get to know them well before I find them a home. I give them cleanings when necessary & i'm able, but there may be more to touch up depending on the item and/ or your taste.
