Please study the photos to confirm description. Tennessee born Davey Crockett was known as the "King of the Wild Frontier." An expert hunter & woodsman, he is memorialized as one of the brave defenders of The Alamo. This Madame Alexander likeness of him is fully dressed, frontier style, with tunic length, cotton suede fringed top having a pierced fabric waist pouch. He is complete with typical coonskin, (raccoon-tailed) cap. His colorful neck kerchief is secured with side snap & has a tiny scale, colorful print in geometric designs intermingled with subtle florals. Shoes are shin length & reminiscent of a moccasin because of their soft fabric ,but are Western style with a front lacing. This lacing is repeated on his shirt front. His wide brown eyes & hair pulled back in frontier style make him particularly appealing, as he resembles the boy rather than the famous man Davey became. MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful & sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing & doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll & box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care & storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually. MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair & inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps , no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands,( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors." MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand with your order, please add $1.00 to your total. Davey Crockett, Madame Alexander, 8" Doll, Coonskin Style Cap, Box, Wrist Tag, Paperwork
