Welcome to Zion National Park! This map is a high-quality art print of the hand drawn original map I made with a fountain pen & blue ink. At the junction of the Colorado Pleateau, Mojave Desert, & Great Basin is the natural wonder which is Zion National Park. To be in the midst of the sheer verticality of Zion, the skyscraper-like rocky heights & immensely deep & narrow canyons, all cast from that brilliant red sandstone, is an absolutely overwhelming experience. in this map I attempted to capture a particular feeling I've always had within Zion. There is a sense of macrocosm & microcosm existing simultaneously: the sweeping overlooks of Angel's Landing & the labyrinthine complexity of the Narrows exist right alongside one another, & you are witness to a combination of great scale & great detail. Taking in such a landscape all at once, there is a sense of expanded possibilities, a wondrous reminder that there is a vast, vast world to explore. Happy adventuring!
