I don't know anything about hats, so what I'm about to describe to you will be a challenge for me. Please bear with me, & if you see egregious errors or can enlighten me, I'd sure appreciate learning from the experts on Etsy! Remember the movie "The Thomas Crown Affair" where the lead character goes back to the Metropolitan Museum in New York with faceless accomplices but all of them are wearing the same distinctive hat? Well this is that kind of hat. This hat is in FAIR to GOOD condition, & it is from the 1900 - 1910 period. This is a men's hat, 100% felted wool in a luxurious black color. It looks like a classic derby bowler hat, & has a somewhat jaunty look as the brim is slightly upturned at the edges. Nice subtle black on black ribbon detail. The perimeter edge of the hat shows wear in one spot, as the last photo shows, & the inside leather brim shows hardly any wear. The inside brim has a logo from Hartman of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, & a small sticker saying this is size 6 5/8. The brim measures about 11 1/4" long by 9 1/8" wide & the hat is about 5" high. The inside of the hat measures about 7 1/4" by 5 3/4". Overall the hat is in fair to good condition. FREE shipping within the United States.
