This is a large vintage figurine chess set made in western Europe (Spain) ca. 1970's. The set consists of 32 plastic chessmen & original storage case. Chess pieces are made of hard plastic & molded with very good detail in figurine pattern inspired by the "Don Quixote" novel. One side is made of black plastic, other side is made of brown plastic with aged look. Chessmen are bottomed with green felt & slightly weighted. Weight of the heaviest piece (rook) is 30g. The set comes with original storage case. It's made of composite wood & bound with artificial leather. Inner side is lined with soft fabric. There's a foam cushion on the lid & individual compartment for each piece. The set is pictured on a chess board with squares of 5x5 cm. (board not included) & looks just right on that size. Condition: All chessmen are in excellent condition, no broken parts. All green felts are present. The storage case is in very good vintage condition. Minor signs of age & wear on the surface.
