Wizard of Oz Christmas ornament. Collage style ornament features 19 unique pictures from the 1939 film featuring Judy Garland as Dorothy. Emerald City, Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, Cowardly lion, Wicked Witch of the West, Glenda & Toto too are on this handmade ornament. Size:4 1/2"x3 1/2"x1 1/2". This is a glass ornament. There is hand painting around the pictures & a glossy protective varnish covers the entire surface. This is a classic film that means a lot to me personally. I've made a lot of Wizard of Oz pieces over the years. My friends & I would perform the play. I still enjoy it. I like learning some of the behind the scenes incidents that occurred while filming. The movie became popular in the 1950's when they started televising it. I like the description that the film is for "children of all ages". That must be it.
