Description

Triodanis perfoliata is an annual in the Campanulaceae family. A native to the U.S north & south. Common names are clasping Venus' looking-glass or clasping bellflower. It can grow to around 12 inches tall on a central stem that is light green & covered with small white hairs. The deep violet flowers are 5-lobed & symmetrical in bloom from May to August. The alternate leaves are an inch wide in a shell shape. It prefers to grow in full sun with well-drained soil. Annual Germination Mix seeds & moistened soil together in a ziplock bag. Write the name on the bag. Place in the refrigerator for 60 days. Sow seeds into a well-drained, sandy compost & 1/16" deep with sand or grit. Place the seed tray in bright light & keep moist.
