Fantastic Antique 1928 Early Aviator Wilmer Stultz Welcome Home to Williamsburg Pennsylvania Felt Pennant. in March of 1928 Wilmer Stultz, who was born in Williamsburg PA, became the first pilot to fly non stop from New York City to Cuba. Stultz was also the pilot of the Fokker Trimotor "Friendship" on June 18, 1928, when Amelia Earhart became the first woman passenger to cross the Atlantic Ocean by airplane. Stultz would perish in a crash a year after this pennant was made to honor his homecoming to Williamsburg after his famous flight with Earhart. The pennant measures 26 inches long, features printed text, & is in overall very nice condition. A fantastic piece of early aviation history.
