Description
A bronze figurine of the bodhisattva Vajrapani, traditionally viewed as a protector & guide. Attached to its extended leg is a bolt, indicating the figure was previously attached to another item. The bolt can be removed by unscrewing it from the foot. Vajrapani measures 8 H x 3 1/2 W x 3 D. It has a natural patina & probably dates from the mid 19th to early 20th century. CONDITION: Good. A few detailed areas, such as the tips of the hair, show breakage. If there was originally something held in the figurines right hand, it is missing. Buddhist Vajrapani Bronze Figurine
