Sterling & glass divided dish. Probably intended to hold relishes, but would work equally well for holding two types of candies,nuts, olives, etc. The piece is in truly excellent condition with no notable signs of wear. Base is marked sterling, & has been polished to a beautiful shine. No makers marks that I could find. Glass measures about 8" across widest part.
