Up for sale is a hard to find, antique, pressed metal padlock made in the early 1900s by Keen Kutter to commemorate the various locations of the Simmons Hardware Company. Comes with the original double bitted key & what looks to be the original key ring. (Key is stamped "10" on the key-head which matches one of the numbers that's stamped on the front of the shackle.). To open, turn key slightly & lift shackle manually. To re-lock, close shackle & turn the key counter-clockwise. in excellent mechanical condition. Has a heavy feel compared to other pressed metal padlocks. Embossed metal regional warehouse locations are listed on both sides of the body & are sharp & clear. (The "7 Cities" locations listed are New York, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Toledo, Wichita, & Sioux City.) Front & back of the shackle are stamped "Simmons Six Lever." Coin is for size comparison only.
