Pilea peperomioides is one of the most popular houseplants on the market, & a fun plant to grow & propagate. No collection is complete without one of these adorable, easy to grow UFO plants! They prefer bright, indirect light, with no direct hot sun to burn their leaves. Once your plant starts producing babies, you'll be able to share them with friends & family, which gives this plant another of it's common names, the pass-it-along plant. PLEASE NOTE : Due to the way these are shipped, gift wrapping is NOT available for this listing (even though you're able to choose it at checkout due to the way Etsy is set up). You'll want to have a 4" or 6" planter ready for your new pilea (be sure it has drain holes!). They do well in just about any well-draining soil mixture, & should be watered regularly when the soil is almost dry. If your plant is droopy or the leaves start to curl, increase watering slightly. If your leaves are yellowing, that could indicate either too little or too much water, so adjust accordingly. "Spottiness" on the leaves (dark green spots on light green leaves) generally indicates underwatering. Overall, these are very easy plants, & sure to give you years of joy! As long as the main stem of your plant is intact, & the majority of your leaves are still attached, it will grow well for you. They may also experience some yellowing or loss of their older, lower leaves. Simply remove those older leaves at the stem, & new offshoots will form at those nodes in time.
