I've seen Lianna/Lia jewelry being said to be from the 1970's & 1980's when in fact it did not even exist at those times ... The Lianna, Inc / LIA (c) jewelry was only produced for about 8 years 1995 until sometime in 2003 LIANNA INC, began in 1995 in Cranston, Rhode Island in During it's short time Lianna became famous. Their pieces were of high quality including enamel & rhinestones & crystals. They produced mostly Christmas motif pieces although they also did some lovely fairy tale & toy motif jewelry. Many of the designs were classic but they also did some very humorous & expressive pieces as well especially in some of the hilarious Christmas Tree Pins. They use alloy of gold & silver tones, blackening & hand-painted multi-colored enamels. You can find use of lucite, rhinestones & Swarovski crystals. Pieces have hallmark LIA & a copyright sign. The Company was gone by 2003. Now collectible, the cost of these costume decorations will increase every year. LIANNA, INC & LIA are not affiliated with Lia Sophia which is sometimes thought.. They are two separate companies with no relationship. Since LIANNA, INC (Lia (c) didn't begin until 1995 I believe this is probably a mid to late 1990's .... in person this is eye popping .. the Red & Green Beads remind me in the vibrant color of the old Aluminum Cups & Tumblers I grew up with I still do not have a good camera & no photo editing so photos are just very dark for the most part .. MEASURES appx. 2" x 1.5" Book Piece in Kathy Flood's Christmas Tree Pins Book & I'm sure in several other books Lia Christmas Pins are really awesome .. they go from exquisite to hilarious Many of the Not Christmas Lia jewelry pieces done with Lucite are just lovely as well as the enameled pieces. The company is really most famous for the Christmas Tree Pins but they created some other jewelry that is truly beautiful & adorable :) OVERALL: Excellent vintage condition .. normal wear for age/use NO noted flaws or issues .. THIS IS A GORGEOUS EXCELLENT CONDITION PIECE OF JEWELRY YES IT IS ITEMS ARE PRICED ACCORDING TO DESIGN, CONDITION & RARITY .. SOMETIMES I MAY HAVE 2 OF THE SAME PIECES OF JEWELRY LISTED BUT AT DIFFERENT PRICES & THIS WILL MOST LIKELY BE DUE TO THE CONDITION IF ALL ELSE IS THE SAME.
