Description

Ultra thin delicate 26 gauge sterling silver, gold, or rose gold nose ring hoop. Dainty & extra lightweight little wire hoop for your nostril piercing in .925 sterling silver, 14K gold or rose gold fill. A glimmer of subtle sparkle for your nose. Pretty, shiny, & minimalist. No hinge or clasp. Endless hoop style you very gently & carefully twist to open & close. Perfect for special occasions & gift-giving. You can use these elegant hoops in your other piercings too! I make these with 26 gauge sterling silver, 14K gold or rose gold filled wire, work hardening them for shape retention & durability & rounded the wire ends smooth for your comfort. Choose inner diameter sizes 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, or 12mm, either a single hoop or as a set of two. 26 gauge wire is MUCH MUCH thinner than standard earring wire which is usually 20 gauge. 26 gauge is 0.40mm in diameter whereas very thin 24 gauge wire is 0.51mm in diameter, 22 gauge wire is about 0.64mm in diameter & standard ear wire size 20 gauge is about 0.81mm. Though I have hardened them, these hoops are super ultra thin & still very, very delicate & I do not recommend for wear when it's possible pressure may be applied to them. They could easily bend or warp. So these may not be the right choice for your everyday wear but more for special occasions when you desire a little dash of shine. The sizes given are for the inner diameter of the hoop. The exterior diameters will be about 0.80mm greater. The most common nose ring sizes are 7mm 8mm & 9mm. But each nose & each person's piercing position & desired fit is different. How Do I Know What Size Hoop To Buy? The measurement that you need is to take the distance from the piercing hole down to the edge of your nose/cartilage/lobe. (It's best to have this done by a professional piercer.) If not available have a friend help. Choosing the Right Size Hoop: You need to measure the distance, in mm (millimeters) from your actual piercing hole to the edge of your nostril, cartilage, or lobe. How To Measure: This is most accurate with an empty piercing hole - so if you are wearing jewelry take it out before measuring. You need a thin stiff strip of paper, a pen or a fine-tip marker, a ruler, & either a mirror and/or a friend. Without bending the paper, because you need the "straight" not "around" distance, hold it against your ear/nose. Right next to your piercing hole make a mark on the paper. Holding it in place, now make another mark at the edge of your ear/nose. Next, measure that against a metric ruler. You need the mm distance between the marks. Repeat this for greater accuracy. Even better, have a friend do it for you. Best of all. have your piercing professional do it. If you do this correctly the measurement you come up with will be the smallest inner diameter hoop size that will fit very snugly. If you don't want a very snug fit, but not loose either, go up 1mm from your measurement. For a more dangly fit, go up 2mm or even 3mm. Hoop sizes go
