Description
This later 1920s tea dress is just the thing for garden parties, fancy picnics & weddings. The dress is sleeveless with an integral drop waist belt & neck tie. The main part of the dress is constructed from a vibrant floral silk, & then there is a tiered hem of accordion pleated rayon. Condition is very good. The fabric appears strong when held to the light. I hand stitched a seam in the tiered hem where it had opened (just broken thread, no damage to the fabric). There are minor signs of age as one would expect, but this really in great shape for a piece heading for 100 years old.
