Produced from 1962-1963 only , this wonderful mohair early vintage Steiff Bison is not an everyday sighting amongst most Steiff offerings. Measuring approximately 63/4" tall & 10" long & covered in both long & short mohair this beautiful buffalo is considered to be a 17cm Steiff. Fortunately the felt artist's airbrushed horns are still solidly attached & the brown eyes are unscratched. Black airbrushing can be found around the nose, eyes, & hooves, even on the felt horns. The longer mohair is still soft full & fluffy. All colors are very bold & best of all the very valuable Steiff identifications (button, legible stock flag, & name chest tag) are all still avail - able. This cute fellow's overall condition is very minty. Quite a popular & rare find. I am happy to answer any additional questions.
