This is a Charley Brickley football card from the 1955 Topps All American series. The full set contained 100 cards. The Brickley card was #61 in the series & is designated as Brickley's rookie card. Charley Brickley played fullback & placekicker for the Harvard Crimson from 1911-14. He earned All-American honors in 1913 & 1914. Brickley was a dropkick specialist & generally recognized as the best placekicker within the college ranks. After graduation from Harvard, Brickley held various head coaching positions at other colleges but by 1921 was out of football. He had an undistinguished career in the business world & died in 1949 at the age of 58. The card comes in a 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 black easel-back frame. For the Harvard graduate and/or Harvard football player. Makes a great anniversary or birthday gift. A totally unique collectible that makes for fantastic bar decor and/or man cave decor!
