8" x 12" enlargement print of InkTree's "Happy Halloween from Haddonfield" postcard (original here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1087145860/haddonfield-postcard), inspired by the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois: the setting of John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN (1978) starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode & Nick Castle as The Shape (aka Michael Myers) as well as several sequels, including HALLOWEEN (2019 HALLOWEEN KILLS (2021), & HALLOWEEN ENDS (2022). The background image displays an unassuming, quiet neighborhood in mid-autumn, leaves on the ground & jack-o-lanterns scattered about, ready for eager (and unsuspecting) children. The image is accompanied by the message "Happy Halloween from Haddonfield, Illinois", the town name set in the same font used in the film's opening credits...apart from the letter O, which is a nod to the Halloween jack-o-lantern pumpkin that leers at viewers during that famous opening sequence. Finally, the print includes an oddly self-conscious note from the townspeople: "A safe place to trick or treat!" No, really...it is. Trust us. Please note that these prints do NOT feature back-printing like a regular postcard, as they are too large to mail & meant for display purposes only. If you would like a version with postcard back-printing, message me & I will set up a special item sale for an additional $1 surcharge per print (to cover ink & sealant costs). All of InkTree's postcard enlargements are made with high-resolution image files printed on the same 100-lb cover cardstock used for our postcards. After printing, the printed side is sealed with a lightweight protective sealant that makes the image moisture & UV resistant. While it's not recommended you go swimming with them or leave them out in the desert sun, they will definitely hold up to years spent in a picture frame hanging in a sunny room. However, it is NOT recommended that you "dry mount" these prints, as doing so may damage the image. This would be a great addition to any horror collection, whether your own or as a gift to a fellow human you enjoy.
