Cast in solid bronze with verdigris patina The original Akrotiri Boxer Fresco is a Minoan fresco depicting two young boys wearing jewelry, boxing gloves, & belts & dates back to the Bronze Age. The head of each figure is partially shaven with two long tresses at the back & two small locks of hair above the brow. This is the earliest known representation of boxing gloves.
