This solid bronze mortar & pestle features a deep mortar & heavily weighted pestle. The mortar has a tulip shaped opening & two peg handles on each side of its body. The piece has incised details around the top & bottom of the vessel. The pestle has a handle to grip & widens towards the bottom of the shaft to allow for grinding of your herbs & spices. Dimensions: Mortar: 4.5" diameter x 4.25" height. Pestle: 1.75" diameter x 9" height Condition: Good vintage condition; bronze carries an age-appropriate patina.
