It is painted with acrylic paints, sanded to achieve that distressed- shabby chic- vintage look & covered with several layers of water based varnish. The tray is treated with wax, so very pleasant to the touch. All materials are harmless. You can clean it with a damp cloth. Can be used as a serving tray or a decorative element in your kitchen.
