This is a republican era Roman Force, with minis designed by Warprinter. This pack is designed to represent the roman part of a legion during the era of the punic wars. usually a legion would be half roman troops, with the other half made up of allied auxilia, which could vary greatly depending on the area the legion was stationed in. But usually the auxilia were recruited to cover the short comings the legions usually faced, that is, cavalry & light infantry. This army pack contains 2 Units of Hastati 2 Units of Principes 1 Unit of Triarii 1 Unit of Velites 1 unit of Equites 2 Scorpions 1 Roman Command Minis are printed in strips, with heavy infantry having 5 troops to a strip, light units/ranged units & cavalry 4, & command 3. units like elephants, artillery & chariots are printed as individual units. the strips come so units can be easily snipped off & based as individuals according to taste. Unit is represented as how many troops total are included. so for units like hastati or hoplites a unit is 30 minis, skirmishers or light infantry 24, & cavalry would be 12 to a unit.
