In 1996 there were a number of companies that made an item in their product line to celebrate the Bicentennial of the USA. This Bicentennial cookie jar was made by McCoy Pottery. Brown glaze inside & out. The top has the white drip glaze technique. in the shape of a milk pail with a handled lid & two side handles. On one side is the liberty bell with the years "1776" & "1976". On the other side is a shield with three welfare & "76". On the bottom of this cookie jar is t uh e McCoy Company logo & USA. Condition: Exceptional, like new. Made in 1996. Substantial weight at 4.5 lbs. Measurements: 10" tall & 6.75" across the bottom.
