Description
This is a vintage 1960's Steiff mohair owl named Wittie. He was made by Steiff in Germany. About 4" tall & wide. Wittie is airbrushed spotted mohair with felt feet, huge green plastic eyes & horsehair tufts on top of his head. He has a swivel head & stands well on his own, the felt feet & tail feathers contains metal giving additional stability. This little owl is in good vintage shape but no longer has his button or chest tag. The majority of the items in my shop are vintage or antique, e.g., have been used. Vintage & antique items by their very nature have some wear, imperfections, & signs of age/time. This is what gives them their character, charm, & collectability.
