Walter Bosse first started producing these figures as collectibles in the 1950s using a unique method of patina on polished brass; the patina is polished off to reveal shiny brass beneath. Very finely cast examples often got the high-polishing treatment & were fully polished instead of adding a patina. Great example of a Walter Bosse brass rocking horse figurine.
