These meditation hand-loomed shawls are made locally in a small village located in Himachal Pradesh, India. Each shawl has a layered border with intricately spooled geometric patterns done in different color as; browns, blacks, greys & reds. These shawls are great for meditation & to have after asana practice. When you learn & get to experience the sheer degree of detail & skill that is poured into every handwoven shawl, you begin to appreciate the beauty of the workmanship. It is no wonder it has been practiced across generations of cottage weaver-families native to the Himalayas. These shawls are 80% merino wool with 20% polyester. The reason why polyester is used for the boarder is because it eliminates fade, which ensures the integrity of the color. If you are looking for 100% merino wool that is possible with a small increase of price & some extra time to create. As our weaver makes these pieces entirely by hand, he can customize to suit most requirements. Please bear in mind there will be some more time needed for these orders. More Details: Washing Instructions: It is recommended to hand wash with soft detergents & hang dry. These items are delicate & done by hand & not meant to be machine washed or placed in a dryer. If you accidentally spilled something like coffee or wine on it, run that area of the item under cold water. Once the stain has been washed out give it a gentle ring out & place it somewhere it will get a lot of air & make sure to flip periodically until it dries.
