A high quality print of my Blackthorn Illustration. Close up section of a blackthorn tree branch. This tree is esoterically known as both the Mother of the Woods & the Dark Crone of the Woods. The blackthorn has a sinister reputation throughout history, often being associated with bad luck & the darker side of witchcraft. However it is also associated with overcoming obstacles for a better future or protection & hope in the midst of devastation. It can often be a haven for birds such as the now rare nightingale, who find protection amongst the long thorns of the tree. The original drawing was created by hand using pen & ink, then printed on 300gsm high quality textured paper. The print is approximately 210mm x 300 mm & fits into any A4 sized frame. This will be shipped securely packed in a cello sleeve & cardboard backed envelope. Each print is signed by me the artist at the bottom of the image.
