The first German to join the COBRA group in 1949; co-founded the Frankfurt group 'Quadriga' in 1952; co-publisher of the magazine 'Meta' from 1948-1953; taught as a professor at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf between 1959-1979. A member of the German Informel, which enjoyed international recognition at the documenta II in 1959. He died in 2017. Measurements: Unframed 12" x 8" (approximately).
