PLATINUM Antique Opal Engagement Ring .50 Ctw of Swiss Cut Diamonds, .89 Ct Blue-Green Crystal Opal - GIA G.G. Appraisal Incl 1,820 Usd! Gorgeous opal & diamond engagement or right hand ring. The crown measures 14.4 mm x 12.3 mm & rises 7.3 mm from the finger. It contains a green/blue crystal opal cabochon with tiny flashes of orange. The opal is surrounded by a halo of 10 swiss cut diamonds, weighing approximately .50 ctw. The shank measures 1.8 mm at the back. Inside the shank has a small rough spot & the outside has what feels like a small rise/wave on the back. Neither affects wear but I mention them for accuracy. Both are easily fixed with a sizing (but not really needed!). This is a really gorgeous piece, the date listed is best estimate. An independent GIA Graduate Gemologist has performed an appraisal & a copy will be included with your purchase! Here are the specific findings: Ladies platinum opal & diamond Art Deco style ring. The ring contains one center opal cabochon, set with ten prongs with measurements of 8.70 x 6.90 x 2.54 mm. & has an estimated weight of .89 ct. The opal is described as having a crystal white body color with green & blue play of color & has a good polish. The ring also contains 10 side old swiss cut diamonds, bezel set, with average estimated weight of .05 ct. each, total side diamond weight of the ring is .50 ct. The diamond have an average quality of VS clarity & H color with fair-poor proportions & polish. The ring has an oval halo design crown with a medium-thin shank & has a bright polish.
