Melaleuca fulgens is a shrub in the Myrtaceae family. It is endemic to Western Australia & the northern territory. Its common name is scarlet honey myrtle. It is endemic to Western Australia, South Australia, & the Northern Territory. The evergreen grey foliage & bright flowers are its horticulture features. It can grow to around 10 feet tall in its home habitat. The leaves are grey, half-inch to one inch long. The leaves are in four rows along the stem & alternating with upper & lower branches. The flowers are in shades of red, pink, or white. They spike out around 3 inches long with 5-20 individual flowers. It can be in bloom from late winter to early fall. It is a drought-tolerant shrub that will prefer full sun. Zones 9-11 Germination Sow seeds on top of the medium & do not cover with soil. Keep moist in a bright spot.
