He was the main songwriter & guitarist of the American rock band Van Halen, which he co-founded in 1972 with his brother, drummer Alex Van Halen, bassist Michael Anthony, & singer David Lee Roth. He is regarded as one of the all-time greatest guitar players in rock history & was well known for popularizing the tapping guitar solo technique, allowing rapid arpeggios to be played with two hands on the fretboard. He inspired thousands, & will be sorely missed, but his name, talent, & music will live on forever. Made of a 1/8 inch rubber core with aluminum metal face with a digital print applied. I was going to add a 1/2 inch cedar frame but decided not to, but is still an option. It can be mounted with double-sided tape, a sawtooth hook hanger on the back, or drill holes in it, & use thumbtacks/nails.
