I've only just started growing a hillside full of native fuchsias at the studio, so this year is the first year I've had the migrating Rufous Hummingbirds stop in for a drink. If you've ever watched these tiny, miniature flying dragons, you know they are fierce! I try to remind them that I am keeping their nectar source alive when I'm watering . Surely, I'm not the threat their fanned tails, charging flight & sharp-looking beaks say I am! Inktober 2021 Day 7 & the prompt is "Fan". Whether following the official prompts or not, I alternated between Birds & Flora throughout the month in 2021.
