Prayer Flags, also known by their Tibetan name Lung-ta, come in square or rectangular shapes & are attached along their top edges to a long string or thread. They are typically displayed diagonally, connecting two objects (such as a rock & a pole) in elevated locations like temples, monasteries, stupas, or mountain passes.
