I can't not think of Robin Wall Kimmerer's telling of its historic failure & reclamation at Lake Onondaga when in Syracuse, as well as the rich native/First Nations communities in this beautiful area. The map-drawing includes Lake Onondaga in the northwest corner, Downtown & Syracuse University & extends to the DeWitt & I-481 in the southeast corner. This is a PRINT. My hand-drawn map lines are turned white over my "Urban Fabric" painting, "RIVER" - a layering of many hand-painted & drawn marks in watercolor, handmade pigment & graphite.
