It has a pouch in the back to hold your hair with a cord lock to make it adjustable but not as "fluffy" as a bouffant. Design placement may vary. The Men's tie back scrub hat is perfect for men & women with very SHORT hair. It will not work for you if you have any hair to tuck. My hats are made by me in my smoke free home using pre washed 100% cotton fabric. It has tie backs & a little elastic in the back. I have made the front & widest part about 4".
