Fantastic, Antique brooch featuring double rows of seed pearls alternating with rows of bezel set, cabochon Persian Turquoise stones. A very lovely example of handmade antique pieces; the seed pearls are wired to the brooch & each Turquoise cab is individually bezel set. The back of the brooch is done in Silver & engraved with an organic design. This brooch has a lovely patina & is certainly one of a kind. It secures with a c-clasp. The brooch pin has a small hallmark on the reverse near the hinge identified by loop magnification: P4 (with animal head) indicating Austro Hungarian origin/ P4=Pozsony/Bratislava/Pressburg (1867-1872). Approximate measurements: The brooch is 4 centimeters in diameter. The wreath part , where the gemstones are set, is approximately 1 centimeter wide. Circa 1870.
