The other set of 4 will be listed separately. 1822-1825 French leather bound books for display, some with gold gilt accents on the spines. These make a wonderful old world & elegant display books. All French text (religious), Tablettes du Clergé, Paris. Book titles; 1822 Des Amis de la Religion, Tome Premier 1 2 (430 pages) Splitting on the binding, shelf & edge commensurate with age. 1823 Des Amis de la Religion, Tome Troisième 3 4 (443 pages) Splitting on the binding, shelf & edge commensurate with age. 1824 Des Amis de la Religion, Cinquième 5 6 (428 pages) Splitting on the binding, shelf & edge commensurate with age, has a chip in the binding at the top (missing leather piece). 1825 Des Amis de la Religion, Septièmes 7 8 (414 pages) Splitting on the binding, shelf & edge commensurate with age. Total weight for 4 books is over 7 lbs. Books measuring 7.75" x 5". & 2.5" thick. All books showing wear to the spines, board edges, one book has a chip in the leather at the binding (5 6). Loss of leather on some & splitting at the bindings although all bindings are still holding. Page discoloration. We are selling in as is condition, they are 200 years old. Thanks for viewing.
