Description
This fabric is 36 inches wide & is sold by the yard. It is 100% cotton. It weighs approximately 6 ounces per yard. This fabric needs to be washed in Retayne for its first washing to set the colors. The fabric was hand woven in the highlands of Guatemala in a Mayan village. The weaving is done on a treadle loom without the use of electricity. Each weaver learns to weave from his or her parents. It is an art form that has been handed down through the generations. It is a light weight fabric that would work well for almost any apparel item.
