Vintage Japanese Tetsubin Cast Iron Tea Pot. These small cast iron Tea Pots from Japan are know as Tetsubin. This pot is vintage & has been used although there is no visible rust inside the pot, the outside of the lid does have some rustiness, the whole pot does show signs of some wear. It has been enameled on the inside of the pot, & the outside upper portion has the traditional pattern style called 'Hob Nailed'. This Tetsubin Tea Pot is about a 10oz capacity, with a nice sturdy handle. It would be nice to serve some traditional Japanese Sencha, Gen Mai Cha or Hojicha, use in a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony with all the additional accoutrements, it could also be used to serve teas from other lands too.
