Norman Percevel Rockwell (February 3, 1894 - November 8, 1978) is probably the most famous American painter & illustrator. This figurine comes from a painting titled "Home for Christmas" which attempts to show Stockbridge MA, at Christmas, in 1967. The illustration appeared in McCall's in December of 1967. Rockwell was already a well established artist when he moved from Vermont to Stockbridge in 1953 at the age of 59. He resided in Stockbridge until he passed away in 1978. Rockwell set up his studio above the meat market. Comes with original Box, & intact styrofoam Packaging. No apparent chips. The Box is intact, but has some tearing & shows signs of aging.
